Job Requirements/Description

The Opportunity: 

Senior Research Fellow (qualitative methods) to join the Discovering Liveability: Co-producing alternatives to suicide prevention project, contributing to the leadership of innovative suicide research that centres liveability and lived/living experience.  

This post is full-time (35 hours per week). We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular (weekly) on-campus working. This is not a remote role. The position is fixed term between March 2025 and August 2031.

The salary for this post is Grade 8 (£49,250.00 to £60,321.00 per annum), but due to budgetary restrictions, appointments can be made up to step 3 within the grade, so between £49,250.00 and £52,183.00 per annum.

Your skills and attributes for success:  

  • Extensive experience in qualitative methods, including in relation to suicide and/or related fields 
  • Experience of writing high quality, peer-reviewed publications 
  • Experience in research and team leadership and management 
  • A PhD in relevant field 
  • Experience of working collaboratively with ‘experts by experience’ (or similar)
