We’re looking for a Payments Control Executive to join our Payments & Banking Services team at Tesco Bank, part of Barclays Bank UK Plc.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a key part of the Payments & Banking Services team within the newly formed Savings & Payments function.
Working with a wide range of colleagues, you’ll provide team support to ensure that the right controls and processes are in place to effectively and efficiently manage risk for payments.
This role helps ensure Tesco Bank continues to provide both regulatory and scheme compliant payments services to customers, you will support colleagues to reduce risk and deliver good customer outcomes.
This is an exciting development opportunity for someone keen to progress or begin their career within banking, payments and/or risk management.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide MI, process documentation, risk administration and system access support services to colleagues.
- Propose and document process improvements to support the effective management, control and mitigation of risk.
- Perform key control activities and assist with coordinating completion of key risk activities, incl. scheme compliance and regulatory returns.
We need you to have
- Experience using Microsoft Office packages including Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to collaborate with others
- Strong planning skills - can plan and deliver completion of tasks on time.
- A willingness to learn and be able to work unsupervised to a high standard

- Previous operational payments or risk administration experience.

Salary: From £33,040 + annual bonus & benefits
Location: Edinburgh/Glasgow
Office Attendance : Our roles are hybrid; however, you should be able to travel to our Edinburgh or Glasgow office at least 1 – 2 days per week for this position.
