Come join the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) as a Policy and Practice Officer. You will support the strategic leadership of the RPS Scotland Directorate and the RPS Scottish Pharmacy Board by working on policy development and professional support in Scotland.
You will work as part of a high performing team in RPS Scotland to deliver the Scottish Pharmacy Board’s business plan and RPS strategic goals. You will also support GB-wide projects by working with the RPS teams in England and Wales to deliver a successful and vibrant future for pharmacy. Your work will help provide a visible and compelling reason for pharmacists to want to be involved with the RPS through membership.
Requirements:
The Directorate
Reporting to the Director for Scotland, you will work in collaboration and partnership with the team in Scotland and the other two Country teams (for England and Wales respectively). The three Country Directors, and their respective country teams, form the directorate. Working together to develop GB-wide policy or focussing on country-specific health policies that reflect the work plan of the Boards, you will create an operational approach that ensures the organisations strategy is delivered and work across the organisation with other functional directorates to do so.
The Team
A team focussed upon supporting the work of the National Pharmacy Board, you will work with the Director, Policy and Practice Lead, Public Affairs Manager and Business Manager and others, at the very centre of the advocacy role of the RPS. You will work closely with the Chair and Vice Chair of the Board.
You will also work closely and supportively with other country teams on several workstreams as well as other teams across the organisation including the Education, Support and Events teams to deliver the vision and Mission.
