Purpose of the role

To support the day-to-day operations of the risk division by monitoring the bank’s risk profile, identifying and managing risks and providing insights and expertise to support senior colleagues to make informed decisions.

Accountabilities

1. Execution of small research projects to support risk identification and strategic decision making. Prepare presentations and reports to communicate the findings to senior management.
2. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
3. Participation in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
4. Identification and management of risks including reviewing and challenging business propositions.
5. Management of business and client relationships under steadily decreasing supervision.
6. Support of risk management and decision making by using financial models and strategies.

Analyst Expectations

4. Execute work requirements as identified in processes and procedures, collaborating with and impacting on the work of team members.
5. Identify escalation of policy breaches as required.

7. Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work you own or contribute to. Deliver your work and areas of responsibility in line with relevant rules, regulation and codes of conduct.
8. Gain and maintain an understanding of own role, how the team integrates to achieve overall objectives, alongside knowledge of the work of other teams within the function.
9. Work within well-defined procedures that may involve a variety of work routines.
10. Demonstrate an understanding of the procedures.
11. Evaluate and select the appropriate alternatives from defined options.
12. Make judgements based on the analysis of factual information.
13. Build relationships with stakeholders and customers to identify and address their needs, in support of a smooth operating process, handling sensitive issues as required.
