Due to continued growth, we are currently looking to appoint an experienced HSEQ Advisor to our team.

We operate a 4 day working week Monday to Thursday.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable HSEQ Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting health, safety, environmental, and quality standards within the organisation. This position involves collaborating with various departments to ensure compliance with regulations and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSEQ policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to management and staff on HSEQ matters, ensuring understanding of policies and best practices.
  • Facilitate training sessions on health and safety protocols, first aid, and emergency response procedures.
  • Prepare detailed reports on incidents, inspections, and audits; analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations for incidents or near misses to determine underlying issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with external agencies during inspections or audits as necessary.
  • Promote a proactive approach to HSEQ across all levels of the organisation.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar HSEQ role within a relevant industry is essential.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental legislation, and quality management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability in report writing with attention to detail.
  • First aid certification is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in conducting root cause analysis.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
