‘Every One Every Day’, invites people to actively design, co-create and test a vision for their communities. It began in Barking and Dagenham and led on to We Build Bridges.

Since 2019, Corra has been developing the approach for Scottish places with our partners.

Kirkcaldy is the first place in Scotland to implement the approach.

The idea is to build the social infrastructure – the spaces, resources and support – in a local area to enable people to try whatever they’re passionate about, in ways that make sense to their lives. It’s free, open to everyone, and designed to make it easy to get involved. It’s all about building the foundations for people to live better lives, together.

We are now recruiting for a fixed term to 31 January 2027 Team Leader (Maternity Cover) (Every One, Every Day, Kirkcaldy). This is an excellent opportunity for someone with relevant skills and experience to join a friendly, hardworking, passionate team keen to make a difference to our communities.

The Team Leader is a pivotal member of Corra, with primary responsibility for supporting Community Project Designers to use inclusive design methodology with local residents to develop a large range of neighbourhood projects. You will lead and support the team of Community Project Designers to co-create, design and deliver programmes of inclusive participation opportunities with local residents.

What you’ll be doing day to day

As the Team Leader, you will work closely with the National Programme Manager (Appetite for Change) to deliver the ’Every One Every Day’ programme in the Kirkcaldy area. You will lead the development of places, spaces, resources and support that produce thousands of opportunities for residents to learn, share, create and connect.

You will have primary responsibility for supporting Community Project Designers to use inclusive design methodology with local residents to develop a large range of neighbourhood projects. You will lead and support the team of Community Project Designers to co-create, design and deliver programmes of inclusive participation opportunities with local residents.

Who we think you’ll be

  • The postholder will be a confident team leader, great communicator and understand network building, circular economy and maker culture.
  • The successful applicant will have solid analytical skills, knowledge of participatory culture and approaches, including a strong sense of how co-production works, excellent people and leadership skills, be enthusiastic and self-motivated.
  • Ideally you will have Knowledge of the third/funding sector in Scotland and knowledge of the Kirkcaldy area and networks.
  • As with other Corra staff, there will be the requirement to be flexible and to provide support for other aspects of Corra business as and when required.
