Historic Environment Scotland (Sa Gàidhlig: Àrainneachd Eachdraidheil Alba) is Scotland's public body working to ensure Scotland's history and heritage makes a real difference to people’s lives.
We care for more than 300 properties of national importance, drawing more than 3 million visitors per year. We look after internationally significant collections including over five million drawings, manuscripts and images of Scotland, along with one of the largest collections of aerial imagery in the world.
We invest about £14 million a year to national and local organisations, supporting building repairs, ancient monuments, archaeological work, and others.

- Lead and supervise a team of stonemasons and apprentices, ensuring quality conservation work on historical sites throughout the Isle of Bute.
- The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, masonry experience, and a commitment to heritage conservation and staff development.

- Manage a team of Collections Assistants to deliver collections management projects, inventory audits, and ensure proper conservation and documentation of objects.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in collections management, team leadership, and strong organisational skills, with a passion for heritage conservation.
