The Wallace is our all-day lounge,dining room,well-stocked bar,library and tasting room,guests can dine on delicious hearty fare,made using the freshest local produce while sipping on a single malt or artisan gin,or relax and enjoy traditional afternoon tea while gazing at Edinburgh Castle.


Key Responsibilities of a Housekeeping Supervisor:

  • Checking and inspecting rooms.
  • Assisting in the training of team members.
  • Inputting and monitoring room status in the computer system throughout the shift.
  • Preparing and allocating Room Attendants sections and porter duties.
  • Assisting in the control and issuing of keys.
  • Helping in the preparation of rotas to ensure there is adequate cover at all times.
  • Directly supervising team members.

  • Previous experience in housekeeping and team supervision.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to train,motivate,and support team members.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures and health & safety standards.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle guest requests professionally.
  • Flexibility with shifts and working hours.
