THE ROLE:

With ambition to be the best Grill Restaurant in Scotland, Cameron Grill sits in the heart of Cameron House with wonderful views across Loch Lomond. This setting is intimate, elegant and welcoming, whilst accommodating 180 covers. Service delivered with flair will ensure Cameron Grill’s prominent role in delivering our vision to be Scotland’s leading 5* resort.

The scope of the role of Food and Beverage Assistant within the Cameron Grill is to create a warm welcome and create special memories through the fun and relaxed 5* service of food and beverage.

Key things you will be responsible for:

• Confident menu and service knowledge
• Preparing for service - Mise en place
• Cleanliness and presentation of your bar section
• Setting and presentation of tables
• Providing recommendations and taking orders
• Liaison with the kitchen team and clear communication of special dietary requirements
• Service and replenishment of premium drinks, cocktails, wines, champagnes and teas and coffees
• Checking satisfaction and handling additional requests and feedback
• Capturing guest preferences and special requests for future reference
• Billing, presentation and payments
• Clearing tables and resetting for next service
• Requisitions and secure handling of stock

TO BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY YOU WILL ALSO NEED:

• Great interpersonal skills with an ability to confidently interact at all levels
• Basic IT skills and ability to use hand held technology
• Knowledge and certification of Food Hygiene requirements an advantage

The original estate was home to the Smollett family for over 300 years, including the famous 18th Century novelist and poet, Tobias Smollett. Tobias travelled widely, yet the vision of his Scottish home was never lost, "I have seen Lake Garda, Albana, De Visco, Bolsetta and Geneva. Upon my honour, I prefer Loch Lomond to them all." Naturally, we agree with Tobias, wholeheartedly.
