We have created an exciting new opportunity for an Estates & Caretaking Team to ensure the Council effectively manages its estates, external areas, and communal blocks of flats and shared spaces. As an Estates Officer, you will be responsible for carrying out regular inspections of communal areas internally and externally, ensuring high standards for residents/tenants, overseeing daily estate maintenance, grounds maintenance and other contract work, unkept gardens, minor repairs, communal areas, fly tipping and refuse issues on our estates, and working with other departments, partners, and contractors for a seamless service delivery, maintaining a positive relationship with residents and resolving/handling complaints on the estate that may arise, including with empty properties, and ensuring health and fire safety compliance.

You will ideally have experience of working within a similar field/environment, and an understanding of social housing issues and services. This role is predominantly site-based and involves working outdoors in all weather conditions.

You must be able to drive, possess a current driving licence, and provide a suitable vehicle for use at work.
