First Achieve engineering recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client a well-

established and growing engineering consultancy within the ground investigation sector.

We're seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to manage complex site investigation

projects and deliver high-quality technical reporting.

About the role

Manage and supervise ground investigation projects on site

Oversee drilling rigs and site teams, ensuring safe delivery

Carry out soil/rock logging, trial pitting, and in-situ testing

Undertake groundwater and gas monitoring/sampling

Produce accurate site records and interpretative reports

Lead on H&S compliance, RAMS, inductions, and site safety

Liaise directly with clients throughout project delivery

Requirements for consideration

Degree qualified (Geology / Geotechnical / Hydrogeology or similar)

Experience managing ground investigation projects/contracts

Strong report writing and communication skills

Chartered or working towards chartership

Full UK driving licence
