At CITB, we’re committed to shaping a competent, safe and future-ready construction workforce. We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Instructor in Plant Mechanics to join our dedicated curriculum team and help inspire learners to excel in their careers.
Location: National Construction College Scotland, Inchinnan
Hours of Work: Full-time (35 hours per week)
Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 7:45am – 4pm, Fridays 7:45am to 12pm
Contract: Permanent
Grade: SC3
Target Salary: £47,973 per annum
About the Role:

What you’ll be doing:
As a Vocational Instructor, you’ll deliver high-quality training to learners at various stages of their careers. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future workforce by:
Delivering engaging theory and practical training sessions to apprentice and commercial learners
Supporting learners through assessments and qualifications
Maintaining industry standards and ensuring a safe learning environment
Contributing to curriculum development and continuous improvement
Essential:
Minimum of Level 3 (or equivalent) vocational qualification directly related to the role
Specialist licence to practice qualifications relevant to the role
Relevant experience in the construction industry and excellent knowledge of current industry practices
Hold a Level 2 qualification or higher in English and maths or demonstrate proficiency at Level 2 or above through a recognised assessment in both subjects.
Minimum of Level 3 teaching qualification (or commitment to achieve within one year of commencing role)
Assessor Awards (or commitment to achieve within one year of commencing)
Knowledge, skills and experience in Microsoft Office 365
A passion for developing others and sharing knowledge
Desirable:
Higher level construction related qualification
Level 5 teaching qualification
Experience of apprenticeship delivery
