We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Senior Student Experience Assistant to join our busy and dynamic team. Based primarily within the Admissions team, you will play a key role in supporting the University’s admissions activity while also providing flexible support to Student Records, Awards and Graduation, and Registration when required. This role offers the opportunity to develop experience across both Admissions and Student Lifecycle Services, with admissions forming the primary focus.

You will bring experience from a similar role within Higher or Further Education and will contribute to enhancing the student experience through your knowledge of undergraduate and postgraduate admissions and wider student lifecycle processes. You will also support the development and consistent application of policies, operational guidance and business procedures across these areas.

Educated to HNC level (or with equivalent experience), you will have a sound understanding of Higher Education admissions and awareness of the external factors influencing the sector. You should be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of how Admissions teams interact with Student Lifecycle functions and academic departments, as well as experience of delivering effective service within an educational or customer-focused environment. Strong IT skills are essential, and previous experience of working with a university admissions system is highly desirable.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and will be confident responding to a high volume of enquiries via telephone and email. Strong organisational skills, accuracy and the ability to prioritise your workload effectively are essential. We are looking for someone who can provide high-quality administrative support and deliver consistently excellent customer service.

Your supporting statement should clearly demonstrate how you meet the essential criteria outlined in the person specification and provide practical examples of your experience and achievements.
