Adult and Youth Worker
35 hours per week (fixed term until 25 June 2027)
We are looking for a friendly and committed Adult and Youth Worker to join our Access to Education team, supporting the EVIP programme. You will be passionate about working with disadvantaged young people, using a nurturing, trauma-informed approach to build trust and confidence.
Working alongside staff in Sport, Beauty, Construction and ESOL, you will help learners re-engage, overcome barriers, and progress positively into education, training, or employment.
As an Adult and Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people in Glasgow who face barriers to education.
This rewarding position involves:
- Recruiting, managing, and supporting a group of young people aged 16–25
- Delivering and developing the King’s Trust Team Programme, which runs throughout the year
- Ensuring participants benefit from a high-quality learning experience
We are particularly interested in candidates with:
- Strong knowledge of the local community, voluntary organisations, and support agencies
- A passion for empowering young people and helping them reach their potential
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people while contributing to a programme with proven impact. Team Leader training will be provided if required, though prior qualification as a Team Leader is highly preferred
Applicants will be effective communicators with proven leadership skills. You will be computer literate, with excellent organisational skills, a flexible approach, and the ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
Experience of supporting vulnerable groups is essential, as is a qualification at HNC level/SCQF Level 7 in an appropriate subject area, or relevant skills and experience in a related discipline.
Any offer of employment will be subject to receiving a satisfactory Scheme Record through the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.

Salary: £35,809 per annum
Location: Cardonald / Langside Campus (travel to other Glasgow Clyde College campuses may be required.)
