We now have an exciting opportunity for an Information Management Intern to join the Park Authority and assist the information team in supporting the organisation manage the data and information it generates, uses, shares, publishes and archives.

The Role:
As the Information Management Intern you will assist in a number of cross-organisational and team-based tasks that will draw on or develop new skills and knowledge.
Your tasks will be focused on information and records management but draw from across various delivery teams within the Park Authority, including community grants staff and the peatland ACTION team.
You will provide general assistance with records management and cataloguing during the development of the Authority’s updated Records Management Plan. This will include assisting with developing an archive of key documentation that tell the story of the Park Authority since its inception.
In this role you will assist with data management, cataloguing and archiving of spatial datasets. You will provide general development and support of information management tools including automation elements and analysis tools / dashboards and provide a support and training function to staff working with data and information tools.
As the Information Management Intern you will also assist with processing Freedom of Information/ Environmental information requests working with colleagues across the organisation to gather and prepare information for release.

About You:
To be considered as our Information Management Intern, you’ll need:
- Interest in information management, managing and using data, records and archiving.
- High level of competence with standard Microsoft 365 products including SharePoint.
- Skills in or exposure to Microsoft power platform (Power Automate, PowerBI, PowerQuery, PowerApps) are desirable, as is other experience using tools for data wrangling.
- Experience with GIS applications (e.g. ESRI products and / or QGIS) is desirable.
- Good planning and time management skills; excellent attention to detail.
- Reliable and able to work unsupervised with support and advice from experienced colleagues
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with a range of colleagues
- Permission to work in the UK
