Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Location: Port of Grangemouth
Compensation: Salary - £37,316 + shift allowance (c.£3000) + on-call payments (c.£1200) + regular overtime opportunities
Earning Potential £49,000-£57,000+ (including shift allowance, on-call payments and regular overtime)
Shift Pattern: This role operates on a structured 11-week repeating, Monday-Friday shift pattern covering day, night, back and early shift.
In addition, you will be on-call for 1 week in 10, running from Friday 12:00 to the following Friday 12:00. An on-call allowance is paid as standard, with additional payment per call-out.
About The Role
Forth Ports is one of the UK’s leading port operators and plays a critical role in national logistics, offshore wind support, and heavy industrial operations.
We are seeking a time-served Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team at the Port of Grangemouth, maintaining and repairing large-scale operational plant and electrical distribution in a fast-moving 24-hour environment. This is an opportunity to work on some of the largest and most interesting mechanical plant in Scotland within a stable employer supporting critical UK infrastructure.
This is a varied, hands-on heavy maintenance role suited to engineers who enjoy fault-finding, breakdown response, and working on some of the largest cranes and industrial equipment in Scotland.
You will be part of an engineering team who support day-to-day port operations, planned & reactive maintenance and projects. The role requires practical problem solving, safety awareness and the ability to work independently to keep plant and infrastructure running.

What We’re Looking For:
Experience in ports, rail freight, quarries, heavy manufacturing, steelworks, power generation, bulk handling facilities or mobile plant maintenance environments would be advantageous.
Candidates with transferable experience from other heavy industrial or electrical maintenance backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
