We are looking for a committed and compassionate Independent Living Officer to join our Housing Service, supporting older and vulnerable residents to live safely and independently in their own homes. This varied role will see you delivering person-centred support, completing needs and risk assessments, coordinating services with partners, and helping residents access the advice, services and community opportunities they need to thrive. You will also play a key role in managing telecare systems and supporting tenants within our Independent Living schemes, ensuring a high-quality, responsive service.
This is an exciting time to join Bassetlaw District Council as we continue to shape and strengthen services through Local Government Reorganisation (LGR), offering opportunities to be part of positive change and service improvement. The role requires travel across sites within the district, so you must hold a full, clean driving licence and be able to travel as required. In return, you’ll be part of a supportive team committed to making a real difference in our communities, with opportunities for development and to contribute to innovative ways of delivering independent living services.
The post holder will be subject to a basic disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and must possess a full current driving licence & use of a vehicle for work.
