As a purpose-led business, we're focused on supporting our customers as they navigate through new stages of their lives and all the moments that matter. We're here for everyone who wants to make the most of their time on the planet and leave it a little better than they found it, however grand or humble their ambitions.

We help people live their best lives. We help them with the big stuff, for the moments that matter: Pensions, Savings, Investments. At Aegon, we strive in creating a diverse organisation that plays a meaningful role in driving greater equity, inclusion and belonging.

In this role, you’ll play a key role in how we connect with colleagues across Aegon UK. You’ll shape and deliver clear, engaging communication that helps colleagues understand what’s happening, why it matters and what it means for them.

Working closely with senior leaders and teams across the business, you’ll support key priorities and change activity. You’ll deliver communication that’s clear, relevant and supports our strategy, while using feedback and insights to keep improving how we engage colleagues.

You’ll be joining at a time of significant change, where clear, honest and human communication really matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shape and deliver communication that gets attention. Plan and create clear, engaging internal communications across a range of channels

  • Partner with the business. Work with senior leaders and teams to support priority initiatives and change activity

  • Drive engagement and understanding. Help colleagues connect with Aegon’s purpose, priorities and what it means for them

  • Manage content and channels. Maintain consistent, relevant content across key channels and communications plans

  • Measure and improve. Use insight, feedback and best practice to continuously strengthen our communications approach

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience delivering clear, engaging colleague communications across a range of channels

  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to simplify complex or sensitive messages

  • Confidence working with senior leaders and influencing at all levels

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong digital skills across Microsoft tools and channels, using them to create clear, engaging communications

  • Sound judgement, particularly when communicating through change or ambiguity

  • A proactive, curious mindset and a focus on continuous improvement

What’s in it for you?

  • We’re serious about your future and our enhanced pension scheme is now in place. We ask you to contribute 3% of your salary to your pension and we’ll put in 9%. If you decide to contribute more, we’ll match it up to a combined total of 20% of your salary (that’s 7% from you and 13% from us).

  • A discretionary bonus, depending on personal and company performance

  • 34 days leave per year (including bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time)

We also offer private medical cover, life assurance, critical illness cover, enhanced parental leave and a variety of lifestyle benefits to help our employees live their best lives, including retail discount vouchers, cycle2work scheme, subsidised restaurant and online GP appointments.
