Bassetlaw District Council is looking for an experienced Housing Services Manager to lead a key portfolio of housing services at a pivotal time. With Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) on the horizon and a focused Housing transformation programme underway, this is a fantastic opportunity to shape how our services evolve for the future.

Reporting to the Head of Housing, you will lead Housing Operations & Strategy, covering tenancy and estate management, housing options, lettings, supported housing, tenant engagement, and customer experience. You will play a key role within the Housing Leadership Team, helping to drive forward the Council’s strategic priorities.

About you

You will be an experienced housing leader with a strong track record of delivering high-quality, compliant, and customer-focused services. You’ll bring:

  • Strong knowledge of housing legislation and regulation

  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams

  • A proven ability to drive performance and service improvement

  • Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills

  • A balanced strategic and operational approach

What you’ll do

  • Lead delivery of high-quality, efficient housing services

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements

  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation, including digital solutions

  • Strengthen tenant engagement and resident influence

  • Work in partnership with internal teams and external agencies

  • Provide clear, professional advice to Members and senior leaders
